Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a technical field.
• 8+ years delivering software-based solutions.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise storage architectures and resilience.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior technical leadership and strategic direction for enterprise storage and data protection.
• Define standards, roadmaps, and strategies for storage, data protection, and infrastructure resiliency.
• Lead design and optimization of large-scale Dell PowerMax, NetApp and related environments.
• Offer architectural leadership for SAN Fabric infrastructure to ensure scalability and availability.
• Serve as escalation point for complex storage, replication, backup, and recovery issues.
• Drive lifecycle management and modernization initiatives across enterprise environments.

U.S. Bank is seeking a motivated Chief Engineer with strong leadership abilities to contribute toward the success of our technology initiatives. Provides a combination of technical and business leadership while being the primary trusted and capable owner of one or more high priority, high visibility, complex focused initiatives that typically cross multiple technology and business line areas. Will typically have a small number of direct reports (e.g., an architect, systems analyst, etc.) and provide guidance to a larger community including affected systems, program management, and test leadership.

Responsibilities include:

Defineandmaintainenterprisearchitecturestandards,engineeringroadmaps,andtechnologystrategiesforstorage,dataprotection,andinfrastructureresiliencyplatforms.

Leadthedesign,implementation,andoptimizationoflarge-scale Dell PowerMax , NetApp ,andassociatedenterprisestorageenvironments.

Providearchitecturalleadershipfor Brocade and Cisco SAN Fabric infrastructure,ensuringscalability,performance,availability,andoperationalstability.

Serveasthehighest-leveltechnicalescalationpointforcomplexstorage,SAN,replication,backup,recovery,andinfrastructureissues.

Drivestorageplatformlifecyclemanagement,modernizationinitiatives,hardwarerefreshprograms,andstrategicmigrationeffortsacrossenterpriseenvironments.

Partnerwithinfrastructure,security,operations,cloud,andapplicationteamstoensurerecoveryreadiness,businesscontinuity,cyberresiliency,anddisasterrecoveryobjectivesareachieved.

Establishengineeringstandards,operationalbestpractices,andgovernanceprocessestoensurelong-termviability,reliability,andsupportabilityofstorageanddataprotectionplatforms.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business, MIS, engineering, computer science, mathematics, any science, or equivalent work experience

Eight or more years of experience in delivering software-based solutions

Preferred Skills/Experience

Expertknowledgeof Enterprise Storage Architecture ,includingdesign,implementation,andsupportoflarge-scalemission-criticalstorageenvironments.

Advancedexperiencewith Dell PowerMax enterprisestorageplatforms,includingperformanceoptimization,replication,provisioning,andlifecyclemanagement.

Expertise in EverPure storagetechnologieswithinlarge-scaleenterpriseenvironments

Deepexpertisein Brocade SAN Fabrics , Cisco SAN Infrastructure ,FibreChannelnetworking,zoning,fabricdesign,troubleshooting,andcapacityplanning.

Strongexperiencewith NetApp Storage Platforms ,includingNASarchitecture,storageadministration,datamanagement,andoperationalsupport.

Hands-onexpertisewith Data Protection Technologies ,including Cohesity , Data Domain ,backup,recovery,replication,anddisasterrecoverysolutions.

Experiencesupportingandengineering ECS (Elastic Cloud Storage) .

Strongunderstandingof operational resiliency , business continuity , recovery readiness ,cyberrecovery,disasterrecoveryplanning,andinfrastructureriskmanagement.

Provenabilitytoprovidetechnicalleadershipforenterprisemodernizationinitiatives,platformmigrations,engineeringgovernance,andlong-terminfrastructurestrategy.

Location expectations

This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $133,365.00 - $156,900.00
