Chief Engineer Ropeway
Your tasks

Position Summary

The Chief Engineer in the Ropeways division of TUV SUD Americas is responsible for overseeing technical reviews, inspections, audits, and consultations related to ropeway systems, including ski lifts and urban transport systems. They review technical documents for new ropeways, approve reports, and ensure compliance with industry standards such as ANSI B77. The role involves training and developing department personnel, obtaining relevant certifications, and collaborating with global teams to expand service offerings. The Chief Engineer must be a licensed Professional Engineer, willing to expand licenses across states, and possess extensive industry knowledge to represent TUV SUD as a leading service provider.

Regular domestic and international travel is expected.

Your qualifications

Education

Bachelor's Degree in engineering, physics, or related technical field.

Current Registered Professional Engineer license.

Skills & Abilities

Over 10 years of ropeway experience, with 5-10 years in regulatory standards and directives.

Proven leadership in initiating projects and managing teams.

Core competencies include communication, collaboration, customer focus, and self-management.
