Job summary

Stevens Towing Co., Inc. seeks a licensed Chief Engineer for a small freight ship. Applicants should have experience with Caterpillar engines and generators, and must be available for travel 30 to 60 days per trip.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 5 years of ocean sailing experience.
• Must have a minimum of 5 years of sea service with a minimum of 2 years as Chief Engineer.
• Mariner applicants must be found fit for duty per United States Coast Guard requirements.

Responsibilities

• Familiar with Caterpillar 3412's and 50 cycle Caterpillar generators.
• Travel 30 to 60 days per trip working on a small freight ship.
• Perform shore side maintenance as needed.

Detail Work History

Experience with Safety Management systems

Education

USCG License with Chief Engineer of any horsepower
