Job summary

Crowley Maritime Corporation is seeking a Chief Engineer for SIU – COS / CPRS. The role requires STCW certification, engine experience and readiness to work on a towing vessel within the East Coast/ Gulf of Mexico corridor.

You will need to maintain high safety and technical standards and be able to operate PLC systems and deck machinery as part of a dynamic crew. Travel and international assignments may be required; this is a union-backed position offering contract-specific compensation.

Qualifications

• STCW including OICEW, VPDSD and Advanced Fire Fighting.
• 3 years' experience as Engineer.
• Lifeboatman and Medical Care Provider training.
• CPR/First Aid and TWIC.
• Ability to travel internationally and hold a valid passport.
• Experience with towing vessel deck machinery.

Chief Engineer - SIU – COS / CPRS

Minimum requirements:

• Chief Engineer – Ocean, Any HP, Limited – 1600GRT/3000 ITC License
• STCW (including but not limited to OICEW, VPDSD, and Advanced Fire Fighting)
• Medical Care Provider
• Current CPR/First Aid Training
• Lifeboatman
• Current TWIC

• Valid Passport – must be able to travel internationally with no felonies, DUI, or other convictions which would restrict entry into Canada or other nations.

Responsibilities

Minimum Experience:

• 3 years' experience as Engineer
• Kongsberg Dynamic Positioning System Maintainer Training
• Prior experience with towing vessel deck machinery
• Experience or training with PLC control systems
• Proficiencies with Word, Excel, Outlook and maintenance-based programs

Preferred Experience:

• Experience with Caterpillar or Wartsila

This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement. Compensation, including hourly wages or salary, benefits, and otherterms of employment, will be in accordance with the applicable unioncontract.
