X-Bow Systems is seeking a Launch Vehicle Chief Engineer with 10+ years of progressive aerospace experience to lead our launch vehicle development and operations programs in Huntsville, Alabama. The role partners with program management to shepherd programs through development, integration, test, and flight operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive engineering experience in aerospace/defense.
• Deep technical understanding of launch vehicle systems (propulsion, structures, avionics, GNC).
• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams on complex programs.
• Proven track record leading technical efforts from concept through flight operations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as principal technical authority for launch vehicle development, integration, and flight operations.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams across propulsion, structures, avionics, GNC, and flight analytics.
• Establish and maintain technical vision, architecture, and design philosophy for launch vehicle systems.
• Chair technical reviews and provide final technical approval for major milestones (SRR, PDR, CDR, FRR).
• Manage technical risk and mentor engineering talent.
