Job summary

LiquidPiston, Inc. seeks a Chief Engineer to lead the technical execution of a major rotary engine program from prototype to production.

You will manage a cross-functional engineering team, coordinate design, testing, and integration, and drive profitability and performance improvements through hands‑on prototyping and strategic leadership. Based onsite in Bloomfield, CT, with a relocation to Suffield, CT later in 2026.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering required; MS/PhD preferred.
• 10+ years leading engine development programs or complex mechanical systems.
• Strong proficiency with design and simulation tools.
• Proven ability to manage多-disciplinary teams and budget constraints.
• Hands-on lab and prototyping experience required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical execution of a next‑gen rotary engine program from concept to production.
• Manage a multidisciplinary team of engineers and contractors.
• Oversee design, testing, and integration of engine systems and subsystems.
• Coordinate BOM development, procurement, and resource allocation.
• Engage stakeholders, present to investors, customers, and partners.
