Job summary

Pittsburgh Tomorrow is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer / Chief Engineer to oversee construction engineering for heavy highway projects in New Kensington, PA. This onsite, full-time role allows succession into senior leadership after training.

You will lead planning, design, and field execution, ensure compliance with PennDOT and OSHA, review drawings, mentor staff, and collaborate with project managers and regulators to deliver safe, durable infrastructure.

Qualifications

• PE license required and 10+ years in civil construction.
• Experience leading heavy highway and bridge projects.
• Strong knowledge of structural and geotechnical analysis.
• Experience with PennDOT or Turnpike projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning, design, review and approval of temporary works for highways.
• Provide engineering oversight of cofferdams, forms, shoring, falsework.
• Ensure compliance with PennDOT, OSHA and applicable regulations.
• Review, approve, sign and seal engineering drawings and calculations.
• Lead, mentor and develop engineering staff.
