Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Chief Engineer to design, develop, and operate enterprise-scale cloud applications for GEOINT mission systems. Translate customer IT needs into architecture products and specifications, lead prototyping, and collaborate with customers to deliver new capabilities.

You will mentor developers and guide modernization across cloud environments. The role requires 10+ years in cloud systems, proficiency in Python/Go/Java, and 3+ years across CSPs, with TS/SCI clearance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience designing, developing, operationalizing, and maintaining complex cloud apps at enterprise scale.
• 5+ years of experience with Python, Go, and Java.
• 3+ years of experience architecting solutions on multiple CSPs.
• 3+ years of experience with DevSecOps principles.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Ability to supervise others and lead projects in a cross-functional team.
• TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
• Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years in software engineering, or 10+ years without degree.
• Ability to obtain Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC within 6 months.

You Have:

• 10+ years of experience designing, developing, operationalizing, and maintaining complex cloud applications or platforms at enterprise scale
• 5+ years of experience with programming languages such as Python, GO, and Java
• 3+ years of experience architecting solutions on multiple Cloud Service Providers (CSPs)
• 3+ years of experience with DevSecOps principles
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Ability to supervise others and lead projects and deliverables within a collaborative and cross-functional team environment
• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
• Bachelor’sdegreeand 6+ years of experienceinsoftware engineering , or 10+ years of experiencein software engineeringinlieuof adegree
• Ability to obtain a Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC Certification within 6 months of hiredate

Nice If You Have:

• 5+ years of experience with ground systems, mission control software, and satellite communication protocols
• 5+ years of experience with Agile engineering practices
• Experience architecting solutions on Azure using cloud native services such as AKS, Azure Functions for serverless, or AutoScaling
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Developer, or SysOps Associate Certification

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
