Qualifications

• Two years of experience in hospitality maintenance management.
• Supervisory experience required.
• Ability to read HVAC, electrical, mechanical & plumbing blueprints.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools and an electrical meter.
• Universal refrigerant license.
• Ability to read wire and schematic diagrams.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.

Job description

We are seeking a Chief Engineer to oversee the maintenance department at Cambria Hotel Philadelphia Downtown Center City. The role involves ensuring the working order of all mechanical equipment, managing staff, coordinating contractors, and maintaining safety systems.

Your Role

• Respond to guests’ maintenance requests and questions, resolving their needs efficiently.
• Oversee hiring, training, and performance management of maintenance staff.
• Develop and monitor budget analyses and capital plans for engineering operations.
• Coordinate with external contractors and manage engineering supplies, parts, and inventory.
• Ensure correct use of office equipment, EMS systems, and Life Safety Systems.
• Maintain records and data pertaining to property operations.
• Organize and participate in meetings; document staff performance and disciplinary actions.
• Recognize and reward superior performance; set work schedules according to skill and workload.

Qualifications

• Vocational or technical training preferred.
• Two years’ experience in a similar position in the hospitality industry.
• Previous supervisory experience.
• Ability to read and interpret HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing blueprints.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and an electrical meter.
• Universal refrigerant license.
• Ability to read wire and schematic diagrams.
• Physical capability to walk, stand, reach, crouch, bend, push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs. throughout the shift.

Compensation

Annual salary range: $90,000 – $100,000. Actual compensation is based on experience, certifications, and location.
