Job summary

DCS Corp seeks a Chief Engineer to lead engineering for a PACAF R&D effort delivering warfighter-ready capabilities to PACAF. The position is anticipated in Beavercreek, OH with travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations, and a PhD with extensive DoD/AF experience is preferred.

Ideal candidates have a background in managing large R&D programs, budgets over $100M, and experience coordinating with AFRL and AFLCMC to move projects to acquisition. US citizenship and TS/SCI eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• PhD in engineering with 20+ years in DoD environments.
• 12+ years of DoD experience; 20+ years total experience.
• U.S. citizenship and TS/SCI eligibility required.

Responsibilities

• Manage technology portfolio and business operations of a large AFRL-like R&D org.
• Lead an R&D org with 100+ employees and align programs.
• Provide technical review and guidance for R&D programs.
• Serve as a member of an Executive Group.
• Develop and manage large $100M+ R&D budgets.
• Collaborate with subs to research, develop, integrate, test and deliver prototypes; coordinate with AFLCMC for acquisitions.

Job description

DCS is seeking a Chief Engineer to lead the engineering efforts for a future PACAF research, development, integration, testing and evaluation project.The effort will deliver warfighter-ready capabilities to PACAF.

The position is anticipated to be in Beavercreek, OH with some travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations.

The ideal candidate would have a PhD in an Engineering Discipline with prior experience supporting the Air Force Research Laboratory.Ideally, the candidate would be a retired USAF Colonel or GS-15 or equivalent.

Essential Job Functions:

• Prior experience managing a technology portfolio and the business operations of a complex R&D Organization in AFRL.
• Led and managed an R&D Organization with 100+ employees.
• Provided technical review and guidance for R&D programs.
• Prior experience serving as a member of an Executive Group.
• Experience developing and managing large ($100M+ R&D budgets.
• Ability to work with large and small business subcontractors to research a project, develop solutions, integration of solutions, test and evaluation of solutions, deliver a prototype project, and work with AFLCMC to move projects to full acquisition.
• Experience with C5ISRT, counter-C5ISRT, and Agile Combat Employment is a plus.

Required Skills:

• Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Must have and be able to maintain a Top Secret Level Clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Master's Degree or PhD in an engineering field and 20+ years of experience with 12+ years of experience in the DoD.PhD is preferred.
