Avalore, LLC is seeking a Chief Engineer to oversee all systems engineering and design activities for the WDP System. You will prepare and execute the System Engineering Plan (SEP) and coordinate across engineering teams to translate customer requirements into robust system designs.

The Chief Engineer will oversee all systems engineering and design activities required to engineer and implement the WDP System. This person will prepare, maintain, and execute the System Engineering Plan (SEP), which governs all architecture and engineering aspects of the program. This person will coordinate between various engineering teams, translate customer requirements into system designs, and represent the engineering team in the Engineering Control Board (ECB) to support major program milestones and decisions. This person will establish engineering standards and best practices for the program, lead technical reviews to assess design progress, and ensure integration of all system components. This person will analyze system performance metrics and recommend improvements, manage technical risks throughout the system lifecycle, and collaborate with program management to align technical solutions with program objectives. This person will mentor junior engineers and foster knowledge sharing across engineering disciplines.
SECRET Security Clearance Required CSSLP, GCLD, or GSEC certification (for Junior/Journeyman levels) FITSP-D, GCSA, GISF, or SSCP certification (for Senior level).
We are actively seeking multiple levels:
Junior: 0 - 3 years of experience + Bachelor's Degree
Journeyman: 4 - 7 years of experience + Bachelor's Degree
Senior: 8+ years of experience + Bachelor's Degree
Good communication skills, self-starter mindset. Professional proficiency in English is required. Demonstrated proficiency in using all Microsoft Office applications. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Avalore will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position.
Work Environment: Moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phone and printers) and /or occasional Loud noise (airfield, large equipment). Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time.

Salary at Avalore is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combinaition of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. Salary estimates for this job range from $97,000 - $181,000.
