Responsibilities
  • Directly supervises one or more electricians in the Operations Department.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with policies and laws.
  • Interview, hire, and train employees; plan, assign, and direct work; appraise performance; reward; discipline; address complaints.
  • Plan wiring and installation of equipment and fixtures such as motors, generators, switches, circuit breakers, and fuse boxes.
  • Ensure wiring and fixtures conform to company specifications and local electrical codes.
  • Ensure OSHA compliance on all electrical work.
  • Study production schedules and estimate worker hour requirements for job assignments.
  • Interpret company policies, specifications, blueprints, and job orders; assign duties.
  • Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules.
  • Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality.
  • Suggest changes in working conditions and equipment use to increase efficiency.
  • Analyze and resolve work problems or assist workers in solving problems.
  • Initiate or suggest plans to motivate workers to achieve goals.
  • Maintain time and production records; estimate, requisition, and inspect materials.
  • Coordinate activities with other supervisors.
  • Set up machines and equipment.
  • Perform activities of supervised workers.
Canditate Profile
  • Trade school degree minimum; college degree preferred.
  • 5 years’ experience in electrical or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Master Electrician or Special Electrician License required.
