Job summary

LVI Associates is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join the preconstruction team in Massachusetts. The role will start focused on estimating with increasing client-facing responsibilities, partnering with company leadership to win work and grow long-term client relationships.

Initial emphasis on estimating, with growth into business development and client engagement as you progress, supporting bid submissions, and shaping project delivery strategy.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of electrical estimating experience.
• Experience bidding commercial and/or industrial electrical projects independently.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems (power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, low-voltage).
• Experience with ConEst or similar estimating software preferred.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to collaborate with operations, clients, and leadership; willing to travel regionally.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates and bid proposals for commercial/industrial electrical projects.
• Perform takeoffs, review drawings and specs, evaluate project scope.
• Manage RFIs and coordinate bid submissions.
• Solicit and evaluate vendor and supplier pricing.
• Support Project Managers during hand-off to ensure smooth transition.
• Participate in site visits and project reviews to understand field operations.
• Attend preconstruction meetings and client discussions with leadership.
• Build relationships with general contractors, owners, and industry partners.
• Assist with business development initiatives and opportunity tracking.
• Contribute to growth of client base and project pipeline.

Chief Electrical Estimator / Business Development

An established and growing electrical contractor is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join its preconstruction team.

This is a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys estimating but is interested in expanding into client relationships, business development, and strategic growth. You'll work directly with company leadership and play a key role in both winning work and helping shape long-term customer partnerships.

Initially, the role will focus primarily on estimating, with increasing exposure to client-facing responsibilities as you develop within the position.
