Job summary

Apex Technology, Inc. is seeking a Lead Electric Propulsion Engineer to build and lead the EP subsystem end to end for our spacecraft platforms.

You’ll manage a team of propulsion engineers, define the EP roadmap, and ensure performance and production readiness across thrusters, cathodes, flow controllers, and PPUs. This hands-on role requires coordinating with systems engineering, production, power, thermal, and program teams to deliver scalable propulsion hardware for serial production and

Qualifications

• 10+ years of propulsion engineering with emphasis on electric propulsion.
• Experience leading engineers and complex technical programs.
• Strong knowledge of EP subsystem architecture, interfaces, verification and qualification.
• Must be a U.S. Person per ITAR requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead EP team and roadmap for Hall-effect thrusters, cathodes, flow control, and PPUs.
• Own EP subsystem performance, reliability, schedule, cost, and delivery of flight hardware at rate.
• Drive cross-component trades across thruster, cathode, flow control, and PPU architecture.
• Set technical standards for EP design, analysis, test, qualification, requirements, ICDs, and verification.
• Collaborate with systems, production, and program teams to resolve subsystem issues.
• Oversee design for manufacturability and testability for scalable production.
