Media Recruiters Truckee LLC is seeking an Editor to lead a small editorial staff in Evanston, Wyoming, publishing a quality twice-weekly community newspaper. The role includes overseeing two smaller weeklies in southwest Wyoming, with strong writing, editing, design and photography skills required.

The ideal candidate demonstrates leadership, excellent time management and a team‑oriented attitude, and will drive high editorial standards across multiple properties in a competitive small‑town

Qualifications

• Strong writing, grammar, spelling and editing skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Mac computer experience with pagination design using InDesign and Photoshop.
• A team player with time management and organizational skills.
• Desire to write, package and publish a quality community newspaper.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small editorial staff and oversee two smaller weeklies in the group.
• Publish a quality, twice weekly community newspaper in Evanston.
• Coordinate writing, editing, photography and layout to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Engage the community and maintain high standards of reporting and design.
