Job summary

Cahaba Media Group seeks an experienced editorial leader to shape the brand's editorial direction, strategy, and operations. You will oversee all content and brand extensions, managing a team of editors and freelancers, and coordinating with sales and events teams.

You are deadline-driven, organized, and versatile, comfortable with multiple roles, and passionate about publishing across print and web formats. This role may be remote within the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, English or communications.
• 5+ years of relevant work experience.
• Copy editing experience.
• Reporting and/or writing experience.
• Experience managing a team or ability to lead a team.
• Podcast or webinar hosting/editing experience.
• Experience attending or hosting trade shows and/or industry conferences.
• Familiar with AP Style, InDesign and WordPress (or similar CMS).
• Comfortable wearing many hats.

Responsibilities

• Set the strategic editorial policy for the brand to align with company goals.
• Oversee editorial direction for print and web products.
• Supervise editorial team and liaise with sales.
• Supervise freelance teams including photographers and writers.
• Oversee print issue production and web content schedules.
• Provide cover direction for Creative Services.
