Job summary

Slate is seeking a Sr. Director of Digital Experience Design to lead the design vision across our digital experiences, including website, marketplace, configurator, and in-vehicle UI.

This senior role builds and scales the design team, establishes scalable design systems, and partners with Product and Software leadership to drive customer value and measurable business outcomes. You’ll champion growth design, craft interaction quality, and set standards for design tooling, testing, and research,

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in product design, UX, or UI design for high volume consumer experiences
• 7+ years in a people leadership role, including managing managers or leads
• Strong portfolio showing end-to-end ownership of complex digital products
• Deep experience building and maintaining design systems using atomic design principles
• Proven ability to partner with product and engineering in sprint planning and tradeoffs

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the design vision for all customer-facing digital touchpoints: web, mobile, in-vehicle HMI, and future experiences
• Translate brand and product strategy into cohesive, human-centered design
• Advocate for the customer in roadmap conversations, sprint reviews, and executive discussions
• Own and evolve Slate’s design system for consistency, accessibility, and reusability across surfaces
