Job summary

The University of Iowa Center for Advancement seeks an accomplished development leader to guide fundraising strategy and performance across the University's Main Campus.

Reporting to the Senior Vice President for Development, the Vice President serves as the senior fundraising leader for Main Campus Development and chief development officer for the Office of the Provost, overseeing principal gifts, regional major gifts, and college priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required; advanced degree preferred.
• Progressively responsible fundraising experience in higher education required, including leadership of teams.
• Experience partnering with senior academic and administrative leaders to advance priorities.

Responsibilities

• Provides strategic leadership and oversight for Main Campus fundraising programs.
• Leads a team of senior fundraising leaders and oversees donor engagements and solicitations.
• Oversees operational, financial, budgeting, and reporting functions for Main Campus Development.
• Leads talent management to recruit, develop, and retain top fundraising professionals.
• Uses strategic judgment and relationship-building to advance institutional priorities with donors.
