Job summary

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools seeks an Executive Director of Data Warehousing to oversee design, development, and implementation of on-premise and cloud BI platforms and data architectures. The role requires senior leadership, extensive decision-making, and collaboration with the Assistant Technology Officer of Data Warehouses.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of data warehousing and BI concepts.
• Experience leading data architecture and analytics initiatives.
• Ability to communicate complex data concepts to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all laws, policies, and procedures in district technology.
• Lead, supervise, and evaluate data programs and staff.
• Collaborate on strategic plans with Superintendent and Board.
• Evaluate BI and data warehousing systems and migrate to cloud-based solutions.
• Perform advanced data analysis, architecture, and reporting.
• Design data structures for data warehouses and marts.
• Lead data governance, master data management, and quality techniques.
• Develop new or improved data warehouse ecosystems and reporting systems.
• Manage data warehouse, data models, and source code.
• Design ETL/ELT dataflows and support data access for stakeholders.
