Role Description

The Chief Data Officer (CDO) is a full-time, remote leadership role responsible for defining and executing AI Funding's data strategy across the organization. In this position, the CDO oversees enterprise-wide data governance, data management, and data quality initiatives to ensure reliable, secure, and compliant data usage. The role includes collaborating with executive leadership to align data priorities with business goals, directing data science and analytics programs, and enabling data-driven decision-making. The CDO will lead and mentor cross-functional data teams, establish standards and best practices, and partner with technology and product stakeholders to optimize data architecture and analytics capabilities in support of AI-driven funding solutions.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in data governance and data management, with experience designing and implementing organization-wide data policies and frameworks.


• Demonstrated proficiency in data quality practices, including data validation, monitoring, and improvement programs to support accurate and trusted insights.


• Advanced analytical skills and hands-on experience with data science methodologies, tools, and platforms for modeling, forecasting, and decision support.


• Proven leadership in building and guiding multidisciplinary data teams, with the ability to communicate complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.


• Background in financial services, fintech, or AI-driven products is highly beneficial, along with experience working in remote, distributed environments.


• Master's degree or equivalent experience in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Information Systems, or related field is preferred.


• Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements related to data privacy, security, and financial data management.
