The ideal candidate will have 7–10+ years of experience in real estate law, particularly in Virginia and North Carolina, and must be able to provide strategic legal advice to leadership. Qualifications
7–10+ years of experience in law with expertise in real estate, title insurance, escrow, and settlement law.
Experience in a title insurance company, settlement agency, mortgage lending, or related real estate industry is strongly preferred.
Demonstrated experience advising executives in a rapidly evolving business environment.
Responsibilities
Serve as the primary legal advisor to the CEO and executive team.
Develop and manage legal strategies aligned with business goals.
Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations including CFPB and RESPA.
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts including lender agreements and vendor contracts.
Identify potential legal risk areas and develop mitigation strategies.
