Job summary

ICON is seeking a Head of Compliance to build and lead our compliance function from the ground up in Austin, TX. You will own ICON’s corporate compliance program and ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, and agency supplements across all government work.

You will report to the General Counsel, hire and lead the compliance team, and manage budgets, tooling, and external counsel. This role requires strategic leadership, risk management, and strong collaboration with ICON’s Government Contracts and IT

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years in compliance, ethics, or regulatory practice (or an advanced degree with 8+ years).
• Experience designing, implementing, or running a corporate compliance program.
• Experience presenting compliance matters to executives, audit committees, or boards.
• Ability to travel ~15–20%, including project sites and government facilities.

Responsibilities

• Design and run ICON's corporate compliance program end-to-end (risk assessment, policies, training, monitoring, reporting).
• Cover ethics, conflicts of interest, anti-corruption, trade/export, supply chain, and data privacy.
• Lead internal investigations and audits from intake to remediation.
• Ensure FAR/DFARS obligations across government contracts and subcontract flow-downs.
