Job description

A rapidly growing fintech startup transforming the financial services industry with innovative card programs and digital asset solutions is looking to hire a Chief Compliance Officer (CCO). This person will be a senior member of the executive team, responsible for building and overseeing the company’s compliance framework. The role requires a leader who can balance strategy with hands-on execution while fostering a strong culture of compliance. This role is 100% remote.

Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and maintain a comprehensive compliance management program aligned with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory bodies, auditors, and other stakeholders on all compliance matters.
  • Develop and maintain compliance policies covering AML, KYC, data protection, and consumer protection regulations.
  • Conduct ongoing compliance risk assessments related to card programs, digital assets, and emerging products.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and provide guidance to business units on implementation of new rules and requirements.
  • Identify areas of compliance vulnerability, recommend corrective action plans, and oversee remediation efforts.
  • Establish monitoring systems and reporting processes for senior leadership, compliance committees, and the board.
  • Ensure proper reporting of violations or potential violations as appropriate and/or required.
  • Lead compliance training initiatives, building awareness and accountability across the organization.
