Description du poste

The Florida Holocaust Museum (FHM) honors the memory of millions of innocent men, women, and children who suffered or died in the Holocaust. One of the largest Holocaust museums in the country and one of only three American Alliance of Museums (AAM) accredited Holocaust museums, The FHM is dedicated to teaching members of all races and cultures to recognize the inherent worth and dignity of human life to prevent future genocides. The Museum boasts an outstanding collection of contemporary visual art, a large research library, a growing collection of artifacts, and was recently awarded Professor Elie Wiesel’s personal collection, doubling the size of the overall collection.

The Florida Holocaust Museum seeks a visionary Chief Community Engagement Officer (CCEO) to serve as a key senior executive and strategic thought partner to the CEO. Reporting directly to the CEO, the CCEO will serve as the institution’s primary brand champion and, alongside the CEO, a chief public ambassador—cultivating and deepening relationships with policymakers, donors, community leaders, and other key stakeholders to expand the Museum’s reach and impact across Florida and across the nation.

The CCEO will lead a high-performing team of Directors and Senior Directors overseeing Education, Visitor & Member Experience, Marketing, and Community Relations, integrating these functions into a cohesive strategy that strengthens the Museum’s visibility, drives visitation, expands earned revenue, and advances public policy efforts to secure critical government funding. Bringing a hospitality mindset to all aspects of engagement, the CCEO will translate FHM’s mission into meaningful connections with diverse audiences, connect the Museum’s work to current events, navigate complex and sensitive topics with diplomacy, and inspire understanding, dialogue, and action across a growing and dynamic community.

The Florida Holocaust Museum is an equal opportunity employer, we aspire to reflect the diversity of the communities we serve. We encourage all applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characters protected by law. We believe that building a workforce of the brightest people from the widest possible range of backgrounds can innovate and inspire and engage with the widest possible audience.
