Chief Commercial Officer – (LiDAR / Autonomous Vehicles)
Location: Remote USA (Preference for Bay Area-based candidates)
Compensation: $300K–$350K Base Salary + Performance Bonus + Equity
We’re partnering with a high-growth mobility tech company developing next-generation LiDAR solutions for autonomous vehicles and robotics. Their patented sensor technology delivers superior resolution, long-range detection, and real-time environmental mapping—enabling safer and more reliable autonomy across on-road and off-road applications.
Following significant Series C funding and OEM traction with leading automotive and AV players, they are now seeking a Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) to own all go-to-market efforts—from enterprise sales and strategic partnerships to market expansion and revenue growth.
This is a defining opportunity for a proven commercial leader passionate about shaping the future of autonomous mobility through advanced sensing technology.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Revenue Ownership & GTM Strategy – Lead all commercial functions; define and execute a go-to-market strategy across AV, industrial robotics, and defense markets.
Automotive & AV Sales – Drive adoption with Tier 1s, OEMs, AV companies, and ADAS system integrators; close large-scale sensor and platform deals.
Strategic Partnerships – Build and manage alliances with chipset vendors, vehicle platforms, mobility ecosystem players, and government entities.
Market Expansion – Identify and scale into new verticals such as robotics, smart infrastructure, UAVs, and defense/autonomy programs.
Team Leadership – Build and lead a world-class sales, BD, and commercial ops team across North America and international markets.
Forecasting & Commercial Analytics – Implement and refine metrics-driven processes for pipeline health, forecast accuracy, and revenue efficiency.
REQUIREMENTS:
Domain Expertise – 10+ years in senior commercial roles within LiDAR, ADAS, automotive sensors, or mobility tech markets.
AV Ecosystem Fluency – Deep knowledge of autonomous vehicle stacks, perception systems, sensor fusion, and OEM purchasing cycles.
Scaling Experience – Demonstrated success growing revenue from $10M to $100M+ in deep tech or hardware-driven B2B companies.
Strategic Sales Leadership – Track record of complex multi-year deal structuring, channel building, and ecosystem engagement.
Cross-Functional Savvy – Ability to collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Executive leadership to align market feedback with roadmap.
Builder Mentality – Comfortable operating in a fast-paced startup environment with high ambiguity and steep growth expectations.
