We have an opening for a Chief Commercial Officer at our corporate office in Arnold, Missouri reporting to the President. As a member of the executive leadership team, the Chief Commercial Officer provides enterprise-level strategic leadership for Arsenal Credit Union’s commercial lending function, driving sustainable loan growth, portfolio performance, risk discipline, and market expansion.

The CCO is responsible for the overall performance and management of the commercial loan portfolio, including loan growth, product development, policy recommendations, pricing strategy, portfolio management, loan origination, underwriting, production, and the management of third-party relationships. This position will ensure sound lending practices, strong portfolio quality, and alignment with the organization's strategic goals while fostering strong relationships with members, business partners, and the communities we serve.

What will you be responsible for:

• Lead business development strategies that expand Arsenal Credit Union’s commercial lending relationships, deepen member engagement, and support sustainable portfolio growth.
• Build and manage relationships with business owners, commercial real estate investors, community partners, centers of influence, and prospective members throughout the St. Louis market.
• Provide strategic oversight of commercial loan portfolio management, including portfolio performance, asset quality, relationship profitability, pricing discipline, and risk-adjusted returns.
• Partner with executive leadership, lending, credit, compliance, and operations teams to ensure commercial lending practices align with organizational strategy, member needs, and regulatory expectations.
• Identify opportunities for prudent commercial loan growth across commercial real estate, C&I, and related business lending relationships.
• Represent Arsenal Credit Union with professionalism, credibility, and a member-first approach in the business community.

What skills does this position require?

• Proven executive-level commercial lending portfolio management, commercial relationship management, and executive leadership experience within a financial institution.
• Strong knowledge of commercial credit, portfolio management, loan structuring, pricing, underwriting concepts, recovery, and risk management practices.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to analyze market opportunities, portfolio trends, member needs, and financial performance.
• Excellent computer skills, written communication abilities, negotiation, presentation, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
