Mental Health is an epidemic that’s getting worse day by day. Depression, anxiety, ADHD, suicide, PTSD are at an all time high. This needs to change. We humans were not made for this sort of life. We were never designed for the sedentary, indoor, socially isolated, fast-food-laden, sleep-deprived, frenzied pace of modern life. We are being robbed by the same tech that was meant to add value to our lives.

As a 3x founder, I’m looking to change the current eco-system in which we operate for mental health. I’m against anti-depressants, and most medications that are prescribed to numb our shit. Talk therapy is not as effective. We know ranting does not help solve our problems. CBT and DBT are great starting points but never enough to improve mental health. Our communities are falling apart ( I mean they are online yet not really helping us). Tech companies are using human psychology to trick us all to be addicted and exploit our insecurities. This is not the future we should live in.

I’m looking for co-founders to work with me to create a ground-breaking technology that revolutionizes mental health. No it’s not just AI mental health chat bot. We are going beyond talk therapy, and focusing on emotional and brain training modalities. Integrating biofeedback to create an impactful approach to mental health.

During the summer, we will be building the product roadmap and getting access to grants. You will be given equity or we can negotiate a salary based on expectations. Once we raise, you will be offered a tangible salary that works based on where you live. Currently I am hiring contractors and funding the whole business until we raise.

We will hire a team of 6-8 people post raise. Within the first year we will conduct clinical testing in person. This means that the person and I have to be in the same city. So whether I move or they move, we have to be aligned. I am based in Toronto, and willing to move anywhere in the world to make this happens.

Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a Chief Clinical Officer (Co-Founder). The Chief Clinical Officer will oversee clinical operations, ensure the highest standards of patient care, and guide program development in behavioral health. Day-to-day tasks will include strategic planning, collaborating with other executives, leading clinical teams, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead clinical strategy and validation of neuroscience-based interventions
  • Design and oversee clinical trials to demonstrate efficacy and safety
  • Develop clinical protocols and treatment guidelines for mental health applications
  • Interface with regulatory bodies (FDA, EMA) for approvals and clearances
  • Build relationships with key opinion leaders in psychiatry and neurology and universities that can help us conduct research
  • Translate clinical needs into product requirements
  • Manage medical affairs and post-market surveillance
  • Develop physician education and training programs

Qualifications include but are not limited to:

  • Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Innovation, Neuroscience, Information Technology, or related field (master’s degree preferred).
  • Proven experience (five or more years) in executive leadership roles within the healthcare industry, innovation industry, non-profit organization, or a related field.
  • Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams in a complex organizational environment.
  • A reputation for openness, integrity, and trustworthiness.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills in negotiation, conflict resolution, and consensus building.

I will take on all things sales, marketing, HR, processes, hiring, fundraising, management, direction (with your help), PR, organizational structure and set up, finance, legal matters, and anything else we need. Our neuroscientist will work with our hardware and software team to set up the product with your help.

As a previous founder, I understand how important it is to make a strong team. My process as a founder is for us to get to know each other in depth, this means all cards on the table. Vulnerabilities about who we are and where we are coming from and what we want. Being honest about the idea and building something for a long term. I want to spend the rest of my life building this mental health organization.

I want to honestly alleviate depression, anxiety, ADHD, PTSD and other mental disorders from those that suffer. Strong sentiments I know. But I will not back down from this mission.
