Job summary

Fresh River Healthcare in Manchester, CT, is seeking an experienced Chief Clinical Officer to lead clinical and quality-of-care initiatives across our skilled nursing facilities. You will set clinical standards, drive policy, and ensure consistent, high-quality nursing care system-wide.

The role requires strategic leadership, oversight of QA programs, participation in government surveys, and collaboration with the POC committee to address deficiencies.

Qualifications

• Must hold a nursing degree from an accredited school or be a graduate of an approved RN program.
• BS in Nursing or Public Health is preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of progressively responsible healthcare experience.
• Thorough knowledge of state survey processes, survey tag numbers, and quality measures.
• Experience with clinical standards and guidelines and QA/Improvements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the development of clinical standards, protocols, processes, and procedures to ensure compliance with state-mandated regulations for Skilled Nursing Facilities.
• Implement a peer review system and quality assurance program, conducting audits and implementing corrections as needed.
• Assist in developing new clinical programs and participate in facility site surveys imposed by authorized government agencies.
• Collaborate with the Facility Plan of Correction (POC) Committee to develop and implement plans to correct deficiencies.
• Develop methods for coordinating resident services to ensure continuity of care.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
