Job summary

NextGen Healthcare, Inc. seeks an accomplished executive to lead clinical affairs and patient safety across its health IT portfolio. You will mentor clinicians, integrate evidence-based insights into product strategy, and oversee enterprise safety governance to sustain clinical efficacy.

Responsibilities include directing CID, chairing the Patient Safety Committee, and ensuring regulatory alignment while collaborating with Product Management, Engineering, Legal, and Regulatory Affairs.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with US residency completion required.
• 10+ years in clinical practice and HIT environments.
• 5+ years in executive or senior clinical leadership roles in EHR/health tech.

Responsibilities

• Lead and scale the Clinical Center of Excellence with embedded clinical leads.
• Drive integration of clinical insights into product roadmaps, design, and commercialization.
• Direct CID program, risk governance, and patient safety oversight.
• Chair or lead the Patient Safety Committee and align governance with R&D.
