Qualifications

• Knowledge of municipal engineering principles and practices.
• Minimum of 8+ years of professional engineering experience?
• Experience with public infrastructure systems including streets, drainage, water, wastewater.
• Knowledge of land development and subdivision processes.
• Familiarity with engineering design standards and construction practices.
• Understanding of federal, state, and local regulations affecting municipal engineering.
• Texas Engineering Practice Act and professional engineering requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead as City's designated Professional Engineer and Engineer of Record.
• Provide technical engineering guidance to executive leadership and City Council.
• Review, certify, and seal engineering documents, plans, and studies.
• Coordinate with multiple city departments on engineering initiatives.
• Oversee CIP leadership, project prioritization, and design standards.
• Monitor major capital projects and report status to leadership.
• Collaborate with consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
• Ensure compliance with engineering regulations and standards.
