Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) in Washington, DC seeks a Chief Budget Officer for the Office of Finance. This full-time role reports to the CFO and leads the enterprise budget lifecycle, including planning, forecasting, execution, and justification.

You will guide financial planning and analysis, coordinate with divisions, and drive continuous process improvements to support the PCAOB’s mission of investor protection and audit quality.

Formación

• At least 12 years of experience in management, budgeting, accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Extensive leadership experience leading a team and managing a multimillion-dollar annual budget and financial management programs.
• Experience with data analysis and financial modelling.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the design, execution, and continuous improvement of the enterprise budget process in accordance with the SEC Budget Rule, including annual budgets, rolling forecasts, multi-year financial models, and practices that strengthen fiscal stewardship and accountability across all divisions and offices.
• Partner with divisions and offices to develop well-supported budget requests; ensure program budgets are aligned with priorities; support ad hoc analysis, technology cost management, workforce forecasting, and long-term planning.
• Undertake highly complex quantitative, data-driven program analyses using internal systems to monitor spending against budgets, historical results, and forecasts.
• Lead the Budget team in providing robust financial modeling, scenario analyses, forecasts, and actionable recommendations.
• Identify emerging budgetary challenges and opportunities and recommend practical solutions based on performance and trends.
• Advise the CFO/COO on funds status, expenditure trends, and actions in support of PCAOB’s mission.
• Oversee monthly/quarterly financial reporting and materials for senior management and Board, and assist CFO in communicating key budget matters.
• Lead the implementation and improvement of budgeting technologies such as Workday, Adaptive Planning, and Power BI; drive change with HR tech.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the CFO.
