Job summary

The University of Georgia is seeking a Director of Broadcast Technologies/Chief Engineer to lead all technical and engineering operations for Georgia Athletics, delivering premier broadcast experiences across control rooms, venues, and football events.

The role combines hands-on and supervisory responsibilities for installation, maintenance, and operation of linear and streaming TV systems, in-venue videoboards, and associated production workflows, at a national-level SEC setting.

Qualifications

  • Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree and 5 years of professional experience.
  • Preferred qualifications include 5–7 years in broadcast control rooms with HD cameras, switchers, IP-based intercom, and fiber transmission.
  • Strong communication, organization, and ability to work with production staff and external partners.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations and reliability of UGAAA control rooms and remote sites.
  • Supervise staff, including hiring, training, scheduling and performance reviews.
  • Provide on‑site and remote support to troubleshoot real-time signal or equipment issues.
