Job summary

Bullish US LLC & CoinDesk Inc. is seeking a Head of Blockchain Security to own the security posture of our blockchain infrastructure, custody systems, and smart contract protocols.

You will function as a technical authority and strategic partner to internal teams and external partners, designing scalable security frameworks and guiding rapid-response measures to protect assets. The role is based in NYC and requires onsite work at our office a minimum of 4 days per week, reporting to the Chief

Qualifications

• 7+ years in cyber security with 5+ years in blockchain and smart contract security.
• Hands-on experience with Solidity, Rust, and Move.
• Strong background in cloud architectures (AWS/Azure/GCP) and Linux.
• Proven penetration testing, design reviews, and threat modeling.
• Excellent communication to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead security audits of smart contracts and protocol architectures.
• Serve as security advisor to founders, engineering, and leadership.
• Build scalable security frameworks and automated monitoring.
• Design emergency response and incident tabletop exercises.
• Assess custody systems, treasury controls, and vendor infrastructure.
• Scale security operations in a fast-growing environment.
