Job summary

Macdonald & Company seeks a Chief Operating Officer to lead its asset and property management functions in Cincinnati. The role requires a senior real estate executive with strong investment judgement and hands-on operating experience.

The successful candidate will drive portfolio strategy, oversee asset management and leasing, work with acquisitions and finance, and actively execute value-creation initiatives across industrial, retail and office assets.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of relevant experience in asset and property management.
• Experience developing and executing asset-level business plans.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis experience.
• Experience with refinancing, dispositions and major capital events.
• Experience managing third-party property management and leasing providers.
• Willingness to travel to assets.
• Exposure to industrial, retail and/or office real estate is beneficial.
• Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic business plans across the portfolio.
• Drive NOI, occupancy, rental growth, and long-term asset value.
• Identify opportunities to enhance value through redevelopment and leasing strategies.
• Monitor market fundamentals to support investment decisions.
• Lead the preparation and review of budgets and forecasts.
• Oversee capital investment and construction programs.
• Maintain focus on cash flow and long-term performance.
• Participate in refinancing, dispositions and other capital events.
