ASRC Federal is seeking a Chief Architect for its Space Operating Group.

As the Operating Group Chief Architect, you are the technical leader for a major line organization, responsible for accelerating business growth and contract expansion through strategic technology insertion. You serve as the vital link between operational execution, customer technology trends and enterprise-level innovation. As a member of one of ASRC Federal’s operating groups, you will have dual reporting responsibility working day-to-day with the Operating Group President to operationalize OG strategy and solutions, while also working as part of the ASRC Federal enterprise capability and technology team under the CTO to maintain enterprise alignment. Key tasking includes the deployment of technology and capabilities in support of revenue goals while advocating for group-level requirements and influencing enterprise-wide investment strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technology, Strategy Alignment & Innovation : Drive the integration of emerging capabilities and technologies into current programs and new product offerings to maintain a competitive edge. Define where the market is going in terms of technology and define a roadmap for how OG solutions and thought leadership will shift to stay ahead of the curve.

  • Business & Contract Growth : Lead solutions strategy for major proposals and "on-contract" growth initiatives, identifying opportunities to expand existing client footprints through technology-led service enhancements.

  • Technology solutions architecture team: identify, develop and deploy a team of OG-specific solution architects. Work with the line to develop and maintain a cadre of billable solution capability SMEs that we can pull to work on growth operations.

  • Enterprise Advocacy & Investment : Identify and translate group-specific technical gaps into formal requirements for the ASRC Federal CTO. Advocate for enterprise investment considerations to ensure the group has the requisite funding and infrastructure for scalable growth.

  • Investment Review Board (IRB) Participation : Serve as an active participant in the Investment Review process and decision-making, collaborating with other senior leaders to identify and champion high-value capability investment areas that would drive exponential growth. Identify and prioritize enterprise-level technical roadmaps, assist with resource allocation, and support project governance.

  • Product & Proposal Strategy : Represent ASRC Federal Technical Capabilities to customers. Partner with business development and operating group leadership to identify capabilities and offerings, to support customer mission needs.

  • Operational Stewardship : Oversee the deployment of enterprise technology strategy at the group level, ensuring that OG/local roadmaps stay aligned.

  • Advocate for proactive and sustained customer technical engagement to understand mission needs, operational realities, and modernization priorities.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required, or equivalent and 12 years of relevant years of experience in a senior technical role with responsibilities that include hands-on technology development, strategic technology insertion, and operational execution in a demanding federal government environment.

  • Five years of work experience engaging with commercial partners (e.g., hyper-scalers and commercial technology providers)

  • Proven ability to work effectively with diverse groups and personalities across different levels of an organization.

  • Demonstrable success and strong track record of leading technical strategies for major proposals and "on-contract" growth initiatives.

  • Experience in researching, identifying, and advocating for group-specific technical needs and influencing enterprise-wide investment strategies. Demonstrated ability to assess market trends and influence company decision‑making.

  • Excellent partnership and collaboration skills, particularly with business development and solution architecture teams.

  • Comfortable working as a “player/coach” personally delivering results in a time-critical, fast-paced environment.

  • Proficient in overseeing technology lifecycles from pilot stages to full deployment.
