Chief Anesthesiologist opportunity with The Center for Advanced Spine and Joint Surgery in Hauppauge, NY. Welcome to Long Island's premier outpatient surgery destination specializing in sports medicine, pain management, spine & general orthopedic care. Case Assignments include sports medicine, pain management, spine & general orthopedic care, and regional blocks team. Shifts are Monday through Friday 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM with all outpatient work and no call. Responsibilities include assisting in directing and coordinating activities in the Anesthesia Department, medical management of patients under anesthesia during surgery and other procedures, pre-anesthesia assessment, obtaining/verifying patient consent, discussing anesthetic options and risks with patients, induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia, monitoring patient's physiological condition, and performing clinical interventions as needed. Requirements include M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine, ECFMG and FLEX, completion of approved residency in anesthesia, and current physician license.
