A leading company is seeking an Air Permit Engineer to provide environmental engineering expertise and manage complex projects. This fully remote position involves ensuring compliance with air quality regulations and advising on environmental protection projects. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in engineering and extensive experience in environmental engineering and project management.
Provides specialized environmental engineering expertise and consultative services to department management for operational problem-solving. Utilizes analytical techniques to reduce risks, operating costs, and to enhance system performance for customers. Manages complex projects effectively.
Offers technical guidance and consulting to management.
Oversees operations, develops alternative solutions, and applies financial and risk analysis to environmental planning and engineering challenges.
Advises on policies and procedures; provides technical guidance, planning, staff recruitment, and training; supports environmental protection projects.
For Air Permit Engineer role: Ensures compliance with air quality regulations; manages environmental air quality projects; provides technical assistance on air quality issues.
Identifies project needs, develops scope, prepares bid documents, analyzes proposals, recommends vendors, and manages project budgets and schedules.
Acts as liaison with federal, state, and local environmental regulatory agencies.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's of Science degree, preferably in engineering or related fields such as environmental, chemical, mechanical, or petroleum engineering.
Eight (8) years in environmental engineering, compliance, or air quality permitting; project management experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, compliance, investigations, and remediation systems.
Exceptional problem-solving and conceptual skills.
Excellent analytical, planning, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and foster project alignment for safe, compliant operations.

This position is fully remote within the U.S., excluding Alaska, Hawaii, and territories. Compensation is salary-based, with potential bonuses and benefits including health, vision, dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.
