About Hudson Partnership CMO

Hudson Partnership CMO is a nonprofit Care Management Organization serving children, youth, and families throughout Hudson County, New Jersey. As part of the New Jersey Children's System of Care (CSOC), we provide coordinated, wraparound care management to youth ages 3–21 who are navigating complex emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges. Working in partnership with families, schools, and community providers, our team builds individualized, strength-based service plans designed to help every child and family we serve achieve stability, resilience, and long-term success — at home, in school, and in their community.

Guided by our commitment to the wraparound model of care, Hudson Partnership CMO believes every family has the strength to overcome adversity when given the right support, resources, and partnership. We are proud to be one of the trusted Care Management Organizations serving New Jersey communities, and we're always looking for dedicated, mission-driven professionals to join our team.

About the Role

Hudson Partnership CMO is growing, and we are looking for a Chief Administrative Officer / Chief of Staff to build the systems that make that growth possible.

Our CEO sets strategy and leads our relationships with funders, partners and the community. You will run the inside of the organization: turning plans into results, leading Human Resources as a strategic partner, and building the grant, data and policy infrastructure behind new funding and an expanding census.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who likes building processes from the ground up, holding teams to clear milestones and measuring what matters.

What You'll Do

  • Drive execution. Turn the CEO's strategic plans into work plans with measurable targets, owners and deadlines, and remove roadblocks across the leadership team.
  • Lead Human Resources. Oversee hiring compliance, talent pipeline building, employee relations, HR policies, benefits strategy and our HRIS transition.
  • Shape compensation and performance. Partner with Finance and the CEO on a pay-for-performance strategy and job-specific evaluations.
  • Build development infrastructure. Run the grant and contract calendar, coordinate grant applications and keep funder reporting on time and compliant.
  • Put data to work. Implement systems that measure program outcomes and support funder reporting.
  • Strengthen policy. Establish and manage an organization-wide policy review schedule.
This role does not supervise clinical staff or make clinical decisions; clinical leadership retains that responsibility.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Nonprofit Management, or a related field, plus either 5 years as a Chief Operating Officer or Chief Administrative Officer, or 10+ years in a comparable executive role focused on HR management, operations, IT, finance, or a combination.
  • 7 years of progressively responsible leadership in operations, administration, or a related executive role.
  • Experience overseeing HR, and or a combination of finance, facilities, and/or compliance functions.
  • Working knowledge of nonprofit operations, grant and contract compliance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities across cross-functional teams.
  • Discretion and sound judgment with confidential, sensitive, or politically nuanced information.
  • Proficiency with standard office, financial, and HR information systems.
Strongly preferred
  • Experience supporting a CEO, Executive Director, or senior executive office as a Chief of Staff, senior advisor, or similar, including preparing executive-level materials.
Expectation for all employees

Embrace the mission, philosophy, and values of Hudson Partnership CMO and work in accordance with System of Care values and principles.

Benefits: Health benefits are available to full-time employees working at least 35 hours per week. Current benefits, which are subject to change, include:

  • Medical, vision, and dental insurance
  • 401(k) retirement plan, eligible after 6 months, with up to a 3% employer match
  • Tuition reimbursement of up to $3,000 per academic year
  • Gym reimbursement of up to $15 per month
  • Paid time off: 12 paid holidays, 2 floating holidays, 5 personal days, vacation based on policy and tenure, and sick time per policy
