Job summary

The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga seeks an innovative, collaborative, and visionary academic leader to serve as its next Provost and Senior Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs. Reporting to the Chancellor, the Provost is UTC's chief academic officer, guiding teaching, research, scholarship, and student success.

Responsibilities include strategic leadership, program development, accreditation, and collaboration across colleges, departments, and external partners to advance UTC's mission

Qualifications

Distinguished record of teaching, scholarship, and service appropriate for appointment as a full professor.
Significant senior academic leadership experience in roles at the level of Dean, Provost or equivalent.
Proven success leading undergraduate and graduate programs with personnel, budgets, and assessment responsibility.

Responsibilities

Lead development, implementation, and assessment of academic priorities aligned with UTC's mission.
Advise the Chancellor on academic policy, planning, and institutional priorities.
Advance innovative programs responsive to workforce and societal needs.
Promote student access, success, retention, and degree completion.
Represent the university in partnerships strengthening UTC's academic mission.
