Qualifications

• Master's degree in education or closely related field from an accredited institution.
• Three years of increasingly responsible management experience in an educational institution; two years in a related area.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and supervise the planning, organization, and coordination of the instructional programs or student services of the college while achieving institutional goals and ensuring academic support services for student success.
• Lead curriculum development and program review processes aligned with district goals; develop, evaluate and improve course outlines and objectives.
• Direct the recruitment, selection, assignment, supervision and evaluation of department directors/managers/supervisors and staff.
• Advise and confer with the President on management issues involving programs and services; participate in strategic and long-range planning for college activities and programs.
• Prepare, recommend and implement budgets for assigned areas; ensure compliance with budget limitations and policies.
• Direct the preparation of reports required by regulations; inform leadership on status of functions or services.
• Maintain knowledge of legislation and educational trends relevant to student services and instructional practice.
• Represent the district at meetings and on committees; attend Governing Board meetings and present as necessary.
• Maintain effective communication with District administration.
• Serve as acting President when required and perform other duties as assigned.
