Job summary

CWT Farms International is seeking an experienced Hatchery Associate II to support daily chick processing, coordinate workflow, and ensure accurate chick counts while adhering to hatchery biosecurity and animal welfare standards.

You will perform sorting and counting, help train Hatchery Associate I, operate processing equipment when trained, and maintain cleanliness and safety in the processing room.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent (preferred, but not required).
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive work.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
• Ability to work with limited supervision and maintain accuracy.
• Willingness to work overtime including weekends/holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform chick processing tasks including sorting, counting, and preparing chicks for shipment.
• Organize workflow within the processing room to ensure production runs efficiently.
• Handle chicks carefully while maintaining animal welfare standards.
• Maintain accurate counts and attention to detail during processing activities.
• Operate processing equipment when properly trained.
• Follow all biosecurity, sanitation, and safety procedures.
• Report equipment issues or operational concerns to the supervisor.
