Shootday, a global photography, videography, and production platform, is seeking experienced event videographers in Chicago for paid freelance assignments. You’ll capture RAW footage at diverse events and deliver unedited footage on a per-assignment basis.

You’ll work with a friendly Shootday team, enjoy complete scheduling control, industry-rate payments on time, and opportunities to work with Fortune 100 clients and startups worldwide. Local Chicago candidates with gear are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Proven event videography experience with a strong portfolio.
• Excellent communication and a professional attitude.
• Ability to work in different environments and event types.
• Reliable transportation to event locations.
• Own and maintain videography gear (cameras, lenses, stabilizers, mics).

Responsibilities

• Capture high-quality RAW videos on time (editing handled by Shootday).
• Cover diverse events from corporate functions to product launches and social gatherings.
• Capture key moments, candid shots, and the event ambiance.
• Adapt your approach to each event’s unique needs.
• Collaborate with other videographers when needed.
• Use your professional camera gear, including gimbals and high-quality microphones.
• Guide participants and set up shots for the best results.
• Communicate effectively with clients and the Shootday team.
