Job summary

CARE FIRST HOME HEALTH CARE INC is seeking a Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) to provide in-home personal care under supervision of a Registered Nurse. The role follows a predefined plan of care to assist patients with daily activities and comfort measures.

Responsibilities include vital signs, hygiene, mobility support, and light housekeeping, with a focus on dignity, safety, and patient privacy. Candidates must hold CHHA and CPR certifications and have a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Active driving license and vehicle insurance.
• Current CHHA certificate/license and CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs assigned personal care services to patients following the CHHA plan of care established by a Registered Nurse.
• Maintains a professional demeanor in the patient’s home and respects patient rights and privacy.
• Provides personal care as outlined in the CHHA plan of care including taking vital signs, recording temperatures, pulse, respiration and BP as ordered.
• Assists with bathing, grooming, mobility, range of motion, and transfer techniques.
• Provides light housekeeping and meal preparation to support daily living.
• Follows infection control, hand hygiene and bag technique policies and procedures and reports changes to the RN.
• Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality; attends in-services and professional development opportunities.
