Job summary

A Place at Home Montclair is seeking compassionate in-home caregivers to support clients in Essex County and surrounding areas. Roles offer part-time and full-time hours with pay based on hourly rates and experience.

You will assist with personal care, meal support, mobility, medication reminders, and companionship, while maintaining client dignity and independence in their home environment.

Qualifications

• Current and in good standing NJ Home Health Aide Certification.
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Background check and drug test required.
• Experience preferred but not required.
• Well-organized, accountable and compassionate attitude.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks including bathing, grooming, dressing and toileting.
• Prepare meals according to dietary needs and assist with eating.
• Assist with medication reminders as directed by healthcare providers.
• Support mobility, walking, transfers and safe transfers.
• Perform light housekeeping to maintain a clean environment.
• Provide emotional support and companionship.
• Maintain accurate records and communicate changes in client condition.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals for coordinated care.

Salary:

$17.00 - $19.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing and toileting
• Prepare meals according to the client’s dietary restrictions and assist with eating if needed
• Assist with medication reminders as directed by healthcare providers
• Help clients with mobility needs such as walking assistance and bed transfer
• Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean environment
• Provide emotional support and companionship to clients
• Maintain accurate records of care provided and monitor and communicate any changes in client condition
• Work with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care and support for the client
