Job summary

Xpedient Logistics in Shorewood, IL is seeking a Cherry Picker/Order Picker II to join our warehouse team. This full-time role operates 4pm to 12:30am, Monday to Friday. The position offers $21 per hour and supports timely order fulfillment.

You will operate cherry pickers, use an RF scanner, and move products to dock areas while maintaining inventory accuracy. Safety and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Experience operating a cherry picker or similar equipment.
• Familiarity with warehouse operations and RF scanning technology.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights up to 10 feet.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inventory handling.
• Good communication and teamwork; willingness to work flexible hours including overtime.

Responsibilities

• Operate powered industrial equipment, primarily cherry pickers, safely and efficiently.
• Pick products from racking and transport to the dock for shipment.
• Put away inbound product from dock to storage locations.
• Scan, pick, and put away items using RF gun or handheld scanner.
• Follow warehouse layouts to optimize product handling and inventory tracking.
• Perform daily equipment safety checks and report issues.
• Maintain clean and organized work area per safety standards.
• Assist with inventory counts and cycle checks as needed.
• Adhere to safety policies, OSHA guidelines and MSDS standards.

Summary

Equipment Operator supports warehouse operations by efficiently moving, picking, and storing products using powered industrial equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience operating a cherry picker and using an RF scanner to manage inventory. This role plays a critical part in ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment and inventory management.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Operate powered industrial equipment, primarily cherry pickers, in a safe and efficient manner
• Pick products from racking systems and transport them to the dock for shipment
• Put away inbound product by moving items from the dock to designated storage locations
• Accurately scan, pick, and put away items using an RF gun or handheld scanner
• Follow warehouse layout plans to ensure efficient product handling and inventory tracking
• Perform daily equipment safety checks and report any maintenance issues
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with safety standards.
• Assist with inventory counts and cycle checks as needed.
• Adhere to all company safety policies, OSHA guidelines, and MSDS standards

• Current certification for operating powered industrial trucks (PIT). (preferred)
• Previous experience in a fast-paced distribution or logistics environment. (preferred)

• Assist management in establishing warehouse standards and procedures
• Maintain detailed records of safety incidents
• Assign designated safety personnel
• Maintain warehouse in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.
