Job summary

Columbia Vehicle Group is seeking an experienced Material Handler Equipment Operator (Cherry Picker) to support material movement, storage, picking, and delivery activities within our manufacturing and warehouse operations.

The role emphasizes operating a cherry picker/order picker safely, maintaining accurate inventory records, and collaborating across Production, Shipping, Receiving, and Inventory Control to keep production flowing efficiently.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience operating a cherry picker/order picker.
• Experience in warehouse, distribution or manufacturing environments.
• Ability to read part numbers and inventory locations.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Basic computer and RF scanner skills preferred.
• Ability to work independently while communicating with supervision.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a cherry picker/order picker to retrieve and move materials and products.
• Pick materials from elevated rack locations accurately and efficiently.
• Load, unload, stage, and store materials per procedures.
• Deliver materials to production and warehouse locations promptly.
• Verify part numbers and quantities before moving materials.
• Complete required equipment inspections at shift start and report issues.
• Maintain inventory movement records using systems or scanners.
• Assist with cycle counts and inventory discrepancies as needed.
• Maintain clean aisles, racks, and working spaces.
• Report damaged materials and unsafe conditions to supervision.
• Work with Production, Shipping, Receiving, and Inventory Control as needed.
