Job summary

Kelly Services in Fort Worth, TX is seeking an experienced Cherry Picker Operator/Order Picker to join a fast-paced distribution facility. You will operate cherry picker forklifts, read orders, and pick technology products while maintaining safety and accuracy.

The role requires comfort working at heights, reliable attendance, and ability to work with RF scanners and WMS tablets. This is a full shift with a 12:00 p.m. start and a typical 8:30 p.m. finish, Monday–Friday.

Qualifications

• Experience operating a cherry picker or order picker.
• 6-12 months of experience operating a cherry picker or similar warehouse forklift.
• Comfort working on an elevated platform high above the warehouse floor.
• Ability to read work orders, labels, and basic warehouse documentation.
• Reliable attendance and a strong commitment to workplace safety.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a cherry picker forklift to retrieve and store products in high-bay racking systems.
• Operate reach trucks, electric pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment as needed.
• Read customer orders, process labels, and accurately pick products from warehouse shelves.
• Use RF scanners and warehouse management system (WMS) tablets to verify quantities and track inventory movement.
• Handle, load, and unload inbound and outbound freight.
• Build, stack, secure, and shrink-wrap pallets manually.
• Complete required daily pre-shift equipment inspections.
• Report equipment defects, safety concerns, damaged products, or inventory discrepancies.
• Follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Meet established productivity and accuracy standards.

Required Qualifications

• Previous experience operating a cherry picker or order picker.
• Typically, 6-12 months of experience operating a cherry picker or similar warehouse forklift is preferred or required.
• Comfort working on an elevated platform high above the warehouse floor.
• Ability to read work orders, labels, and basic warehouse documentation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable attendance and a strong commitment to workplace safety.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience operating any of the following equipment is a plus:

• Dock stocker
• Electric pallet jack (EPJ)
• Reach truck

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, reach, and work throughout an 8-12 hour shift.
• Ability to frequently lift and move packages weighing up to 50-60 pounds.
• Ability to work efficiently in a large, fast-paced distribution center.
• Ability to work in temperature-variable warehouse conditions.
• Must be comfortable operating equipment at elevated heights.
