Job summary

Pentagon Technologies is hiring a Chemroom Operator in Mesa, AZ to clean and refurbish parts used in semiconductor equipment. You will follow established processes for chemical cleaning, etching, and passivation, and operate various tools to achieve a consistent finish.

The role requires adherence to safety and quality protocols, the ability to read work orders, and the capability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing setting with occasional heavy lifting.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in parts cleaning is a plus.

• 1 year experience in manufacturing desired.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment requiring quick turnaround.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety protocols and promote a safe culture.
• Follow quality protocols to meet customer specifications.
• Read and comprehend internal documents such as work orders, travelers, inventory records, and logs.
• Visually inspect parts for cosmetic defects per criteria.
• Prepare parts for chemical processing using fixtures or hangers with minimal damage risk.
• Load parts into chemical tanks using manual or mechanical methods to ensure process times.
• Use tools and equipment to detail parts per specification.
• Operate hoist for moving heavy objects as needed.
• Multitask to process multiple parts while adhering to standards.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.

Position Summary

As a Chemroom Operator at Pentagon, you will perform various tasks to clean and refurbish parts used in semiconductor chip manufacturing. You will follow processes to chemical clean, etch and/or passivate parts, and will also use various tools and equipment to accomplish a consistent finish.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Follow all safety protocols and assist in promoting a safe culture
• Follow all quality protocols to meet customer specifications
• Read and comprehend internal documents such as work order travelers, inventory records, and logs
• Visually inspect parts for cosmetic defects per customer or internal criteria
• Prepare parts for chemical processing using fixtures or hangers ensuring minimal opportunity for damage to product
• Manual or mechanical assisted loading of parts into chemical tanks ensuring process times are achieved
• Use various tools and equipment such as jitterbugs, sanders, detail brushes, pressure washers, and other items to detail the part according to specification
• Operate a hoist as needed for lifting and moving heavy objects
• Multitask to process multiple parts simultaneously while adhering to process standards
• Maintain clean and orderly work environment including tasks on the daily housekeeping checklist

Safety

Employee will be trained in, and is to follow and lead by example, all general safety requirements of Pentagon Technologies as well as specific safety regulatory requirements.

Work Environment

Must be able to work in a group environment and be a self-starter. Must be able to work in a controlled arsenic environment. Must be able to perform in noisy, moist, or wet, and hazardous materials environments with standard protection devices. Must be able to handle necessary tools to perform tasks, including manual and mechanized material handling equipment for moving heavy loads through the production environment with little assistance. Must be able to work in a controlled chemical environment. Persons who are sensitive to chemical environments with such medical conditions as asthma, allergies, or extreme sensitivity to chemicals may not be considered as good candidates for this position.

Physical Demands

Must pass Company required screening tests. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, reach with hands and arms, and frequently lifts, carries or otherwise moves and positions objects weighing up to 40 pounds without assistance. Will on a regular basis push or pull heavy loads (up to 750 lbs.) with basic material handling equipment.
