Job summary

Willamette Valley Cancer Institute is seeking an Admixture Technician to prepare, maintain, and deliver medications for our patients, in a setting that blends retail and admixture activity. The team values accuracy and timely support of treatment journeys.

Required: High School diploma, 1–3 years in a pharmacy, and Pharmacy Tech Certificate. Location is Springfield, OR; schedule varies with early shifts, and benefits include M/D/V, Life Insurance and 401(k).

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent education.
• 1 - 3 years of experience in a pharmacy.
• Pharmacy Tech Certificate Required.

Responsibilities

• Assists with the preparation of medication orders by compounding or admixing medications.
• Checks all orders for completeness of information; verifies patient information and physician authorization.
• Admixes drugs accurately and timely according to guidelines; prepares all drugs within OSHA and interoffice rules.
• Calculates correct dosage volumes and unit conversions.
• Disposes materials properly and assists in quality assurance and inventory activities.
• Maintains temperature logs and protocol/drug logs; supports billing and data entry.
• Files and prepares labels; provides basic data entry into department automation.
• Other duties as assigned.
