Job summary

University of Kentucky invites applications for Undergraduate Instructional Assistants (OrgExcel) for Fall 2026. Applicants must be current UK undergraduates with a 3.0+ GPA and completed CHE courses with a B or better.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled undergraduate student at the University of Kentucky with sophomore status or higher.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Completed CHE 105, 107, 111, 113, 230, 231, and 232 with a B or better.

Responsibilities

• Attend and participate in weekly PL meetings and orientation activities.
• Work problems sets in advance of weekly workshops.
• Monitor up to 10 students per section under supervision; record attendance and facilitate group discussion.
• Provide feedback and reply to questions in person and online; maintain coursework records.
• Undergo observations and performance evaluations by the instructor or delegate.
• Participate in professional development activities and fulfill assigned duties within the term.
• Note: Students may not exceed 20 hours per week across campus; first-time PLs may be assigned to one section.
